Meet Alpas' Creator
Samantha Hickmon
Samantha has been living in the beautiful state of Arkansas since she was three years old. She grew up loving the nature and rich culture of this state. Samantha attended John Brown University for both undergraduate and graduate school; receiving her Master's of Science in Community Counseling.
She then went on to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas with a specialization in technology-assisted counseling. Samantha has experience working in a variety of settings; with people of all ages. She has spent time helping children, and adults work through difficult struggles and find freedom and healing through the use of therapeutic intervention.
Samantha has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2009. She is also a mother to a spunky boy who loves to play with cars. She and her family enjoy spending time together, as well as experiencing the beauty God gives in the day to day journey.
From Samantha,
"I created Alpas because I have a passion to help people experience freedom in their daily lives. We all have struggles and pain that we encounter, but our story does not have to end there. I am excited to be able to offer an on-line therapeutic approach that combines the truth found in God's word with evidenced-based therapeutic techniques. Jesus was the originator of our thoughts and He shared with us the power of focusing on what is positive and true. Therapy is a safe way to share your story. I am here to help offer a different perspective and provide education on ways to change your ways of thinking about yourself and those around you. I believe in helping you find small ways to adjust your behaviors that will result in a positive impact on your daily life; giving you freedom from the painful cycles we can find ourselves in. I look forward to walking alongside you as you begin your therapeutic journey."

At Alpas, our therapist and founder believe in the infallible truth of God's inspired word; the Holy Bible. We believe Jesus Christ was both fully God and fully human; came to the Earth; lived a sinless life and laid down His life on the cross as payment for our sin; and that He rose again three days later. We believe in the Holy Trinity; God, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that belief in Jesus and his salvation is the only way to Heaven. We believe in God's grace and mercy and truths made clear to us in His Holy Bible. We believe that therapy is best used when God's Word is the first authority and therapy techniques are used in accordance with God's truth.

Do I have to be a Christian to receive counseling from Alpas? No, we are simply stating that our primary leaning on theory stems from Christian beliefs.
Alpas values respect, integrity, and kindness. We strive to serve each of our clients in this manner so that they know they are valued and heard.
We look forward to meeting with you!
